Manchester, Washington in Kitsap County is a small unincorporated community southwest of Bainbridge Island on the Kitsap peninsula. A sub-district of Port Orchard, it is uniquely located between ferries to Bremerton, Vashon Island and Fauntleroy in West Seattle. It has a population of 4958 at the year 2007.
Recent changes in Manchester have included major changes in the downtown area, near the public pier and park. Large scale, new condominium/retail development is occurring on two sites in the downtown area, with additional single-family development continuing on the Manchester hillside overlooking Puget Sound.
