Enumclaw Real Estate
Enumclaw, Washington, is located in western part of the state, approximately 45 miles southeast of Seattle, and beautifully situated in the foothills of Mount Rainier. With a current population of 11,220, Enumclaw has retained its small town character while benefiting from the growth of the surrounding region.
The name Enumclaw is derived from a local Native American word meaning "Place of evil spirits" and the city is named after a mountain about six miles north. The local Natives believed that the Thunder Bird lived in a cave on this mountain, and had changed tribesmen into thunder for all time.
